Oh I feel this so much as I am grappling with my mom coming to the end of her life and me coming to the end of care giving for her. I’ve been thinking what am I now and what will I become? Everything feels in flux. Funny how I always imagine you don’t have these same things going on, because you are “so together.” This is my story for you and not reality though. And then we talk or I read your words, and I realize we are more alike than I imagined. ❤️😘
You are facing a lot of unknowns. As Dogen said, Not knowing is the most intimate. Sometimes that intimacy of reality is wonderful and sometimes it is overwhelming. You are also together in many ways, right? Breath by breath......xoxoxoxo
Ooh I love reading the stories you shared and the pix are fab too. Thank you! I never got to visit Om Yoga (I live in Colorado) but I bought your Om Yoga DVD and loved practicing with you that way. For a time I took your classes on a yoga app too. It’s so nice to connect with you regularly on drip, drip, drip. I was part of a Buddhist sangha here for 35 years but now I am adrift though I still practice.
Oh, thanks so much for sharing this long connection we have had - wonderful! Glad to know you are just in the next state. BTW, we are having a sangha retreat in Taos in October, not too far for you to travel if you are interested. It is a beautiful, warm sangha gathering which I think you might really love. See you tomorrow!
It’s a marvel how the threads of a life become the tapestry of a life and continue to stitch a life. Your reflections encourage me to look at the threads of my life. As I look at all my loose threads, I do see the tapestry formed and forming, always seeking the spiritual in many forms finally finding the Buddhist path that was always all around and in me. This Drip, Drip… is a gift as the human life is fortunate and a celebration. Thank you, Cyndi!

Thanks for your reply, Cyndi ! I will look into the retreat.
More great writing every week….

Beautiful, Deborah. We are so fortunate, indeed, to have this human life and the precious gift of the dharma.
Your best “drip drip drip” yet. I love that so many “lifelong threads” are stitching together here.
Thank you! 😊
Incredible life!
Feeling fortunate.
