I enjoy the word whole as it seems round and plump in the mouth. A word that brings generosity to mind. A whole apple, a whole pizza, a whole heart, a whole mind…endless and fulfilling. I wholeheartedly cheered my baby daughters’ first steps; I wholeheartedly encouraged their first coos in response to mine; I wholeheartedly embraced caring for my elderly Mom. Approaching life from with a whole spirit seems joyful to me. I can find no downside to the practicality of the Fourth Noble Truth and its plan for wholesome living, a full life for self and others, a gentle way to walk each other home.
To all creatures great and small in your house I send my best vibes out across the landscape and sky.
The timing of your post today is perfect. I've been feeling a general malaise. Things that used to bring me joy are now feeling like a drag. I wondered if I am depressed...not a state I'm familiar with. I think it's because I've drifted away from my daily meditation practice. It seems meditation helps keep things in perspective. Perhaps you've addressed this in a past post. If so, would you direct me to it? In deep appreciation for your wisdom Cyndi 🙏
Hi Brenda, I’m sorry you are feeling blue and/or blah. I do think meditation can give one a bigger perspective and open your eyes and mind and heart to gratitude and joy. I hope that can happen for you. Maybe you can join the meditation retreat in July online to get a little jump start back to the practice. It also might be energizing to practicd in a group that way, too. I know it is for me. Warmly, Cyndi
I’m so sorry to hear about your family health problems. Big hugs to both you and Bailey. And Brad too. Just for good measure. I am so happy to be a part of your sangha even though I’m the girl who doesn’t show up to the group events. It’s just too much for me right now while I’m trying to reduce my mother’s suffering along with my own. But know that I am there in spirit following along. Can’t wait until I can show up whole heartedly again. XO

Thank you! Hope you are well and good.🩷
Would I rather be right or whole? "Right feels impossible, wrong feels inevitable,” so I choose whole.
Good choice😉
Thank you Cyndi for your Newsletter, always enlightening and inspiring🙏
Thank you!
